Weather watch for Thursday 15 December

Dear families

As you will have expected, I have been monitoring the weather and conditions very carefully over recent days. Tomorrow the temperature is expected to drop even further with a forecast of -6.

I urge and remind your children to please wrap up warm with extra layers of clothing and ensure they wear a coat, hat, gloves, etc. School V-neck jumpers or the PE hoodie (or a dark hoodie/sweater with no logos) can be worn beneath the blazer for extra warmth. Suitably hard-wearing weather appropriate footwear, such as boots or walking shoes, can be worn throughout the day (no trainers). If wellies or trainers are worn for the journey to school these can be left in tutor bases. The paths around school are clear and regular gritting is taking place.

Anyone attending our end of term performances this evening and on Thursday should take extra care when moving around the grounds and car parks and wrap up warm!  Please come indoors and wait in the E block foyer for the start of the performances. Refreshments will be available during the intervals (please bring small change.)

Your continuing support is much appreciated.

Yours faithfully
