Y13 Centre assessed grades released

Y13 Families

Earlier today, the Government announced that centre assessed grades, should they be higher, will now replace those grades students received previously on Thursday 13 August. This is a positive development and is to be welcomed but does not completely remedy all of the injustices given that some university courses are now full.  It may be that over the next few days universities make available extra places as a result of the removal of limits on courses but that is speculation at this stage.

We will be releasing these centre assessed grades to students from 10.30am tomorrow, Tuesday 18 August, from the Humanities block at the school.

More formal communication will be sent to students' email addresses by Wednesday lunchtime confirming the same centre assessed grades.  Some students will be more keen than others to receive their CAG so tomorrow morning offers them an early opportunity.  Others will be comfortable waiting to receive them by email on Wednesday rather than venturing into school.

The situation is moving fast but, as far as I am aware, there is no process of appeal against centre assessed grades.

I look forward to seeing some of you tomorrow morning.

With very best wishes
