Duke of Edinburgh's Award
The Duke of Edinburgh's Award at Tewkesbury School
Tewkesbury School has been running the Duke of Edinburgh's Award successfully since 1986
Bronze, Silver and Gold Awards are catered for
The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award is the world’s leading achievement award for young people.
The award provides a balanced programme of activities that develops the whole person – mind, body and soul – in an environment of social interaction and teamworking. Young people progress through three levels of the program to achieve a Bronze, Silver and Gold award.Taking part builds confidence and develops self-esteem. It requires persistence, commitment and has a lasting impact on the attitudes and outlook of all young people who do their DofE.
Participants can be between the ages of 14 and 24.
Please refer to the Useful Downloads below.
The Award started at Tewkesbury School in 1986 with a group of Bronze participants. Those initial few progressed through The Award as the programme developed. The first Gold Awards were achieved in 1992. Since then the following pupils have been presented with their Gold Award. |
